My experience with this company has not been good. I contacted them a few years ago regarding a well pressure tank and replacement and they quoted four times what a local plumber quoted. Last night lightning struck near my well and fried the submersible pump. I was desperate -- no water -- and they billed me three times the online price for the pump. I think they prey on people desperate for water. And the pump they installed did not meet state requirements and I was forced to hire another contractor at substantial expense. Regarding the review by Ethan Frost, I note that the owner's name is also Frost, and he has a son named Ethan who is a high school student in Hinesburg. In fact, a number of reviews here regarding this company read as if they were planted.
Very helpful. Came out late on a Sunday to fix my water and gave me a very reasonable price. I have had ZERO problems with my water since.
We contacted Spafford & Sons, who came out the next day and found our problem, fixed it and we have water! They told us that there is an easy way to tell if a well is dry by dropping ice cubes into it and counting until you hear it hit water.
Anyways, Vermont Well & Pump obviously did not want to help us from the beginning, they should of sent out someone to check out our situation before dumping unneeded and expensive water into our well. At the very least they should of told us they didn't have time to help us instead of blowing us off and suggesting an expensive test.
I am very happy with my experience with Vermont Well & Pump. Not only was their service professional and timely but the price was VERY competitive. If you are looking for a local well driller to do business with, look no further. I highly recommend these guys! Keep up the great work Rob & crew!

Do not bother with this company! We called them early morning on a week day because we did not have water. After my husband described what was going on my husband he was told to have a load of water delivered to put in the well to make sure it hadn't run dry. Everything that we were describing pointed to a problem with the pump not the well, but he did what they told him. $300 later and a load of water we didn't need my husband contacted them again and waited all day (missing work) for them to return his call. Never heard from them again.
